But even with a wonderful sex ed teacher there were still many personal questions left unanswered. Why? Because students were too embarrassed to ask them. Los Angeles "I Know" Campaign

The Los Angeles County Department of Public Health launches innovative media campaign to combat the County’s rising rates of the sexually transmitted diseases, Chlamydia and Gonorrhea.

The "I Know" public education campaign, partially funded by the County’s Board of Supervisors, repeatedly and strongly urge young, sexually-active women of color to get tested for Chlamydia and Gonorrhea regularly. The campaign, first launched in July 2007, incorporates posters, postcards, billboards, buses, and commercials, but also non-traditional guerilla marketing techniques like mirror stickers in night clubs, lip balm, condom keychains and condom packets to reach the intended audiences.
