Focus Adolescent Services provides resources and information for teen issues, including depression and other mental health issues including anxiety disorder, bipolar disorder, eating disorder, learning disability, personality disorder, and self injury.

Helpguide
Helpguide was created following the suicide of the creators’ daughter. Helpguide’s purpose is to help people understand, prevent and resolve mental and physical health challenges by providing accurate information on mental health topics. Helpguide’s goal is to provide understanding of a condition and the key approaches for treatment so that people can ask intelligent questions of their health care provider.

Mpower
Musicians for Mental Health is a website dedicated to reaching out to teens about a range of mental health issues, including depression, substance abuse, anxiety, eating disorders and suicide, and providing important resources and information to encourage those in need to seek help. Mpower works with a diverse coalition of artists, music industry executives, mental health advocates and youth leaders. Supporting artists include The Neptunes, Michelle Branch, Vanessa Carlton, Third Eye Blind, and Fat Joe. You can hear what these artists have to say about various mental health issues.

Sue Scheff
Sue Scheff, an experienced parent advocate and founder of Parents Universal Resource Experts, provides information on her website about causes of depression, warning signs, statistics on depression, and anxiety. In addition to information on depression, Sue Scheff provides links to other teen related topics, providing her expertise to those issues.

The Health Center
The Health Center provides mental health resources for adults, teens, and children. The website provides information on the following topics for teens: anxiety, depression, stress, social anxiety, mood swings, ADD/ADHD, and bipolar/manic depression.


 

2008 Condom Cover Art Contest

Downloaded your entry form English or Spanish.

There will be six prizes of $500 each for the best designs from young artists in this statewide contest to increase awareness about Sexually Transmitted Diseases (STDs) and condom use by designing an eye-catching, educational condom cover.

All of the six winning designs will be printed in full color on thousands of condom packages that will be handed out at clinics throughout California. This contest is open to any person under the age of 25 living in California.

All entries must be postmarked by July 01, 2008.
