Hey ladies! This is your freshwoman college student reporting to you with some advice that I've learned this first semester at college. First, it's always nice to start your day with a smile on your face. When you wake up, look at yourself in the mirror with the biggest grin you can. Remember that you are beautiful exactly how you are, and you don't need to let anything define you or your beauty. Second, since we're all beautiful and probably have a cutie or two "checking us out," it's important to watch out for your surroundings. 1 in 4 women in college experience sexual assault.

When I first heard about "The Hookup," I was a little shaky about texting it because I thought it would be a big charge.   1. Go to the store.
  2. Pick the condoms you want - check the expiration date and box for damages.
  3. Go up to counter.
  4. Make purchase.
  5. Take home and store at room temperature place (eg. sock drawer).

No need to be embarrassed about the cashier either. Trust me, they're not going to mention anything about your purchase. It's none of their business anyways, right?

Did you know that condoms are the ONLY form of protection that can both help to stop the transmission of sexually transmitted diseases and prevent pregnancy? This is why it's important to use them. And here your parents had you thinking it was an "adult" water balloon.

Whether or not you want to go to a clinic to get condoms, birth control, Plan B, tested for STD'S, pregnancy tested, receive information on sex education or sexuality, abortion services, or for any other health care services, it should all be easy. Plus, because you're a teen, you'll hopefully be able to get services at low or no cost.
