Tips on Being a Good Kisser

As a young woman, I have had my share of some truly knees trembling, sky opening, good kisses, and some eyebrow lifting, body tensing, horrid kisses. It’s so difficult, because you cannot tell if someone will be a good kisser by looking at them; you or one of your friends must experience it to believe it.

Sexiest words ever: Wanna get safe?

More than, “you look hot”, more than “want to eat some chocolate,” the three words I proclaim to be the sexiest ever tell me that I have communication with my partner, that our health is important, and our common desire is to have a fun time where we both feel comfortable and safe.

Tell Your Story about Sex Advice You've Received!

Adults give some really weird advice, especially when it comes to sex. Sometimes it can be sound health advice, like peeing after sex, sometimes it’s crude, like if it looks weird, don’t go near it. I remember during a safer sex training I attended, our health educator remarked that there wasn’t really much to do to change a person’s taste. As she put it “it’s sex, it’s not going to taste like strawberries.” Adults have been there, they know what is up, what is fun and what is a little odd.

Teens for Jeans--Donate Old Jeans, Get 25% Discount at Aeropostale

Sad but true, one in three people who are homeless in the United States are under the age of 18. Usually they cannot afford to buy clothing, and have to rely on donations. Often the donations are not always of the best quality, and so Do Something and Aeropostle have teamed up to encourage you to donate your old and loved jeans to shelters. The campaign is called Teens For Jeans, and a few celebrities are even getting in on it.

Sex Bracelets

In a recent email sent out to parents, Mike Medina, the principal of Angevine Middle School in Colorado requested that students (mainly female) should no longer wear colored jelly bracelets. His fear is that different colors symbolize the different types of sexual activity the girl has done or is willing to do in the future, and boys will take advantage of this. According to a few websites, and Law & Order episodes, boys snap off the color of their desired activity, and then the girl essentially agrees to go along with the request. Gross, wrong, sexist, icky, still gross...

Taco Bell Diet?

Wow, two years of eating Taco Bell’s Al Fresco menu and one woman losses 54 pounds? I would be amazed if my stomach didn’t feel like revolting against me. How can one person be content to choose one of seven options, every day, for two years? Everyday? Two years? Maybe she was able to stick to the diet because her only food options became so unappetizing that she completely lost sensation in her taste buds, and only ate enough to survive. Now I am being melodramatic, but really, this diet sounds awful.

Tips for Getting Tested for STD's

Every six months, without fail, I like to get tested for STD’s. Well, that is not quite accurate; I go to get tested, though my enjoyment of the experience can vary.

Take Time to Think Before you Text

James Lipton reminds us to ponder for a moment before we text. Texting different things- from spreading rumors to naked pictures can make for some intense consequences. Take time to think before you text, even if you don’t have the beard handy .

Communication and Relationships

There's more to sex than just the physical. What goes on in your brain during sex is just as important as what's happening with the rest of your body. So while protecting yourself from pregnancy and STDs is key when you're thinking about having a sexual relationship, it's important to be mentally prepared, too.
