What is Possible When You Believe in Yourself

"I wanted to inspire other kids to really believe in themselves" said 15 year old Kimberly Anyadike from Los Angeles after she became the youngest female, African American pilot to successfully fly across the country. Another goal was to honor the Tuskegee Airmen, the first African American military pilots in the United States. The flight took 13 days and 87 year old Tuskegee Airman, Levi Thornhill flew with her on the trip. Kimberly learned to fly at Tommorrow’s Aeronautical Museum (TAM) an organization in Compton that provides mentoring, tutors, and teaches young people to fly as an alternative to drugs and gang violence. The organization also believes in community development and change, one young person at a time. You can find links to more coverage of Kimberly’s amazing flight including videos and news clips on the TAM website. When you believe in yourself, anything is possible!
