Harry Potter supports LGBT youth

There was so much interest in my last Harry Potter themed blog post that I had to pass this along. Daniel Radcliffe, star of the Harry Potter movies, has made a major donation to The Trevor Project an organization working to prevent suicide among gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender youth. My favorite part about this all together wonderful news? In the press release Daniel is quoted saying (emphasis mine); "It's vitally important that young people understand they are not alone and, perhaps even more important, that their young lives have real value." Thanks Daniel, who at 20 years old is very much a youth leader, for stepping up to support lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender young people. ALL youth deserve to live in a world where their lives are valued. Want to get involved? If you live in NYC or Los Angeles you can support The Trevor Project by volunteering.
