The 2010 Condom Cover Art Contest combines two things I absolutely love: art and sexual health. A month ago, we asked young artists from across California to design or draw a condom cover that spreads the word about safer sex. Over 300 fabulous entries poured in and we nominated the finalists. But now we need your help: we want YOU to pick the winners! Click here to vote!

The six winners will each receive $500 and, more importantly, their art will be featured on thousands of condoms that will be distributed to clinics and organizations across the state. If you live in California, you might even be able to snag one or two at your next clinic visit. I think it’s awesome that these young artists are using their creative skills to promote healthy messages about STDs, safer sex, and relationships.

If you’re bummed that you missed the deadline to enter our condom cover art contest, you might be interested in designing a poster for the Stay Teen Pregnancy Prevention PSA Art Contest. Stay Teen is looking for artists ages 13-19 to design their next campaign PSA, which will appear on postcards, posters, and online. Maybe you could even get some ideas from the condom cover art entries!
