Hey Gleeks, for those of you who missed it, last week’s episode (season3, episode 7) was a mash-up of many story lines, including crazy Coach Sue’s return! However, the best jaw-dropping moment was when Finn “outed” Santana as a lesbian, and we learn that Santana and Brittany are officially a couple.

Sometimes when I go to parties, I see and know other teens engaging in risky sexual behavior, like hooking up with someone they just met at the end of the night, or not using protection when having sex. I think a big reason for this is being young, active, and going out can make you feel like you’re invincible.

Usually when I hear information about teen pregnancy and STD prevention, I see images of straight couples (like MTV’s Teen Mom and 16 and Pregnant). I was thinking that it gives the illusion that LGBT-identified youth don’t need to worry about the same issues.

Indian Court Overturns 150 year old Ban on Gay Sex

The court ruled that "gay sex between consenting adults is not a crime", overturning a law that's been around for 150 years. Currently, this decision only applies to the capital city in India but experts hope that the entire country will soon follow.

This Week is National LGBTQ Youth Awareness Week

The five-day Awareness Week is designed to focus on some of the major issues faced by today's LGBTQ youth, empower them to continue their involvement in solution-making, and to recognize the many allies and programs that are working to support LGBTQ youth due to discrimination. As part of the Awareness Week, there will be activities and programs aimed at raising awareness about youth issues within the broader LGBTQ movement...
