Whoever says teens don't have their stuff figured out is totally off base, at least when it comes to condoms. In that department, teens are MORE responsible, when it comes to condom use, than adults, according to the Center for Sexual Health Promotion. They came out with a survey recently that showed teens (ages 14-17) are using condoms between 58.1-79.1% of the time, compared to 17.5-21.3% for adults between 35 and 44 years old.

Kourtney Kardashian recently announced that she is pregnant. While that is not all that news-worthy, what is interesting is that she admits that she often forgets to take her pills. In her own words: "This probably sounds so dumb, but there's so many times I'll forget to take my pill and I don't think it's that big of a deal, it's just so stupid."

National Day to Prevent Teen Pregnancy May 6, 2009

The 8th annual national day to prevent teen pregnancy will be held on May 6th 2009 this year. The purpose of the National Day is to focus the attention of teens on the importance of avoiding teen pregnancy and other serious consequences of sex. On the National Day, teens nationwide will be asked to take short, online quiz that asks them to reflect on the best course of action in a number of tough sexual situations.

Kudos to Gossip Girl for running a teen pregnancy prevention ad on last Monday's (Oct 27) episode. Check out the flyer here. The ad was created by The Candie's Foundation, a website dedicated to keeping teens from getting pregnant unintentionally. Hayden Panettiere, from Heroes, is featured prominently on the homepage. The ad from Gossip Girl also ran in the New York Times.
