Hepatitis hurts ur liver and can spread thru sex. Ask a Dr about vaccines.
Hepatitis B is a virus that can cause serious damage to the liver. People who have Hepatitis B often don’t know they have it because they may not have any signs or symptoms. Some people do get symptoms and they might be:
- Yellow skin or eyes
- No appetite (they don’t want to eat)
- Feeling tired
- Brown or dark urine (pee)
- Light or grey stools
Some people have pain in their:
- Stomach or abdomen
Even if a person with Hepatitis B doesn’t know they have it, they can still pass it to another person. Hepatitis B is passed from one person to another through body fluids (like semen “cum” and blood). Because of this, it’s really easy to pass Hepatitis B to another person:
- during vaginal, anal and oral sex
- when people share needles for drugs, piercings, and tattoos
To protect yourself from Hepatitis B, you can get a vaccine. Ask your doctor or contact a teen-friendly clinic near you about getting the vaccine.
