National Volunteer Week April 19-25

The week of April 19th-25th is national volunteer week! If you are interested in impacting your community take time to volunteer during National Volunteer Week. Here are list of resources in the LA area:

  • KEEN LA
    KEENLA is volunteer-led organization that provides one-to-one recreational opportunities for children and young adults with mental and physical disabilities at no cost to their families and caregivers. KEEN's mission is to foster the self-esteem, confidence, skills and talents of its athletes through non-competitive activities, allowing young people facing even the most significant challenges to meet their individual goals.

    Our program runs twice a month on Sundays from 10:30 am -12:30 pm and our website is - our site is located near downtown Los Angeles by the Dodgers Stadium. We are always looking for new volunteers to get involved - come out once a month or serve on a leadership position within KEEN.

    Additionally, we are recruiting new athletes - if you know a child that has a disability please have them contact info@keenlosangeles.org or fill out an athlete registration form at www.keenlosangeles.org
